English and Spanish, as well as the score on pages Fls.
1/2, and Fls.
2/2,are available on the "Thematic
Tango Bar" page at the Brazilian Tango
Website “Portal de Tango no Brasil, "Bardetango". Click on the sound track number to listen to each version of the recordingTrack n.° 1:
(2,54 Mb), Tango Milonga, is the original version tape recording by
Ubirajara Silva and his bandonion, at his home address, soon after the
melody was completed in March 2000.
Track n.°
2: (2,92 Mb), a live MD recording fixed during the official
launching party at the “Casa Cultura Lugar Comum”, in Botafogo, Rio de
Janeiro, on April 30, 2000, and performed by the Tango Group De Puro Guapos, from Sao Paulo,
and singer Walquíria Baliello.
Track n.° 3: (2,82 Mb), a live MD recording fixed during a presentation at the second launching of the song at Planeta Tango, in Lapa neighborhood on May 26, 2000, performed again by Ubirajara Silva, but in a slower rhythm.
Track n.°
4: (2,30 Mb), also a live MD recording by De Puro Guapos, en “Lugar Comum”,
on 30/04/2000, an exclusively instrumental arrangement.
Track n.° 5: (2,67 Mb), a live MD recording by Ubirajara Silva and his bandonion, at the Casa de Cultura de la Universidad Estácio de Sá - Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, on December 7, 2000, at the launching ceremony of Ney Homero S. Rocha’s book "Tango Uma Paixão Porteña no Brasil".
Track n.° 7: (1,02 Mb), a tape recording fixed in Buenos Aires by the San Telmo quintet, this time with an habanera rhythm.
Track n.° 8: (1,45 Mb) also a tape recording by San Telmo Quintet in Buenos Aires in a pure tango style. Our Argentine friends consider the last three versions
the more “porteño” styled ones, and regard version No. 8 as being “a very
lovely one”.
However,
these last three versions are experimental recordings, each of them
lasting one and a half minutes approximately, that is, almost half of a
song’s normal duration. This means that only the first part is performed.
The melody repeats in the second part of the song.
The assistance of our Argentine friends was very useful to develop the “criollo” style here in Brazil, with more advanced technical resources.
Private or institutional sponsorship is welcome, as this will enable us to obtain first quality commercial recordings.
